I recently had the chance to photograph Ben, a senior from Dublin Coffman High School, and let me tell you—it was a session full of wide-open skies, great outdoor vibes and, of course, a BIG truck! Ben’s heading toward graduation in 2025, and he picked Glacier Ridge as the backdrop for his senior photos. Honestly, this could not be a more perfect choice. The rustic vibe, the sprawling scenery—everything about it just matched his outdoorsy spirit.
Ben was super laid-back about the whole session. Like a lot of senior guys, he wasn’t exactly jumping for joy at the idea of a photoshoot, but his parents really wanted to mark this milestone with more than just iPhone snaps. I connected instantly with his mom and I knew I would LOVE working with them! I was excited to create something special for them that really captured this chapter in Ben’s life.
Ben was natural behind the camera from the start, but I could see him get more and more comfortable as the session went on. But, once we brought out the truck? Game on! It was like an extension of his easygoing, nature-loving self, and it added so much character to the photos! Between the truck, Glacier Ridge’s rugged scenery, and those dramatic skies, we couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Even the weather was on our side, giving us these intense, moody skies that brought a little extra magic to every shot and I swear by the end of the session, he was posing himself! I really saw this portion of his session come to life!
I always love when seniors bring their own vibe to their session—it’s what makes each one so unique. And Ben? He brought it. By the end, I think he might have even enjoyed himself a bit, embracing the moment, his truck, and the wild beauty of Glacier Ridge. It’s these sessions that remind me why I love what I do—capturing each personality and passion in a way that feels truly personal.
Ben, thank you for trusting me with your senior photos and for bringing your spirit of adventure to the session! And to his parents, Jenn and Dave—thank you for letting me be a part of this milestone! I think we captured something really unforgettable, and had a blast doing so!!
