What a cool session this was in Short North with Jay and his mom. I love all the guys I'm getting to shoot this year and wow what a write up he gave. His positive feedback was so very helpful especially coming from my guys. It was detailed and informative. Of course I want all my seniors to have an incredible experience, but I'm not sure if they realize how valuable their thoughts are to me and how I use it to improve my business. So thank you Jay!!
When I first talked with his mom and she mentioned he was a sax player AND wanted an urban shoot, I already knew what I was envisioning. Short North is always a great spot because there is just so much to work with. Of course, I have my fav spots but I like to add in new things when we can or at least how we shoot the regular fav spots. Our style consult went great and I knew he'd be super easy to work with. They did great pairing his outfits together and I know they took some serious time and thought with this.
Jay and Maureen-I had a blast with the both of you - thank you for being SO EASY to work with! Jay I'm so glad you got so much out of this session and as I always say - this is way beyond "senior pictures." Thank you for trusting me with such a special time!
Here's what they had to say about their session!

The Session Day was a ton of fun. I had a lot cool scenery to choose from and Claudine made me feel extremely comfortable during the shoot. She really nailed my wish list during our pre-session meeting. I also had great outfits because of her detailed "What to Wear Guide". The best part of my session was when I got to my second outfit. It was there, when a random stranger passing by asked if we were having a modeling shoot. We all laughed because it was funny, but it boosted my confidence because I tend to get down on myself when looking at my own pictures. I was not sure how they would turn out, but I figured they must be going well if a random stranger could make a comment like that.

Going into the photo shoot I was very nervous because I tend to not be very good at posing for photos and I usually force my smile. However, after the photo shoot, seeing my photos, they blew me away by how good they were and how I turned out in them. Claudine was able to get real smiles out of me that made my senior photos better than they would have been with my typical forced smile. I have to admit, my mom set up the whole photo session, and as a guy I was not thrilled, but after, I am so glad that happened. It was beyond my wildest expectations.

Going into my shoot, I was not sure what I wanted to get out of it.....I thought they were for my parents if I am being honest. Afterwards, I realized I wanted pictures that I could look back on many years from now, and think about such a great time in my life. I would highly recommend to all senior guys because it give us memories that will last a lifetime, for not only ourselves, but also for our families.

My style is definitely more on the preppy casual side. I wanted outfits that I was comfortable in, and went with a fall theme since that is my favorite time of the year. Layering was important to me, as I like more of the fall/winter wardrobe as opposed to summer. Luckily, the weather was good for this! Claudine did a great job at helping us prep wardrobe. We sent her pictures of the selections ahead of time so she could weigh in. They all turned out perfect.

My favorite photo was the one of me squatting in the alley alley and looking off to the side.

Yes! Claudine, you nailed everything about this day. We had so much fun. I was waiting for Jay's patience to run thin, but it never did, which means he was having fun. Your prep ahead of time was invaluable....you have a great eye for capturing the true personality of your subjects. We could not thank you enough. We are so happy!

We found Claudine on the internet, and mom, being the researcher she is, spoke to Claudine and then spent days looking at her photos. From the first conversation, my mom said she knew that she was the one for us. She is fun, energetic, responsive and knowledgable.

After high school I plan to attend college and major in a biomedical science. After that I want to go to medical school.

I have not picked a college yet, but my top two choices are Miami University and The University of Tennessee.
