When I first connected with Katie and her mom on our Zoom planning call, I knew we were going to have an amazing session! I was already excited because she is a dancer and wanted to incorporate that into her session. But my first impression that she was super sweet, independent, confident and outgoing. It was then I knew our personalities would mesh.
We worked on our ideas together thru Pinterest, stayed in close touch about her outfits which were coming together perfectly. By the time shoot day came around, out weather was a bit wonky (surprise) and the wind was absolutely crazy. Any girl that can come out to her session and not be the least bit rattled over the wind? Sign me up lol. She just kept rolling with whatever came her way and we got fantastic images.
All your images are beautiful Katie, but naturally, the dance photos have my heart! So much fun collaborating with you and bringing our ideas together! What a great day with you and your mom!! Thank you for trusting me with this super special time in your life!! xoxo

The best part of my senior session day was getting my hair and makeup done! It was so nice to have all of my appointments set up and scheduled through Claudine, and it was such a fun experience to start the day!

My biggest fear about my session was posing for pictures. I knew that that was a struggle of mine and I couldn't find poses that didn't make me feel awkward. Claudine and I set up a pinterest board together and picked out some poses before hand which made it a lot less stressful for me.

I wanted my session to be completely tailored to me and my interests. I love the downtown scene and have always loved the city, so that was my obvious choice for a location. I got to take pictures in some of my favorite outfits and dance costumes that were special to me, which made it even better.

I couldn't have asked for anything better! I had so much fun during my session running around downtown and taking crazy dance pictures here and there.

Taking pictures in my pointe shoes on a street corner downtown. We were a block away from the convention center where I do all of my dance competitions,, which almost made me emotional taking my senior pictures so close to the place I call home during my season.

Don't be nervous if you want to take pictures in a crowded city or area! Pick a place you want to remember, even if it might feel awkward to do pictures there.

Claudine made this experience so easy. This was our first child graduating and senior picture preparation can be very overwhelming. Claudine's touch bases with us via Zoom were so helpful and made this process seamless. Katie felt like a model for a day! Thank you for the awesome, beautiful pictures!
