I was so excited to work with Avery! She found out about me thru a friend (that I totally adored) and I knew we would work so great together. Once we did her planning consult and she send me her outfits, oh goodness-she stole my heart! Her styles were so uptown and could not have fit the location I had in mind any better. This is one of my favorite spots to shoot in downtown columbus and I knew she would love the vibe! I know she was feeling beautiful and incredibly confident because it shows in her images. She was a complete natural behind the camera and I'm so grateful she chose me to capture such an important time for her. Girl I had the best day with you and your mom! and you just KILLED THOSE LAST IMAGES with the lights! LOVE SO MUCH!!!
- Tell me about your Senior Session Day! What was the best part?
My Senior Session Day was so much fun! My favorite part was going around downtown finding some random places to take photos such as in the flower planter in front of a bank!
- What was your biggest fear for your session? Do you feel differently now that the session is done?
My biggest fear was worrying about posing and feeling awkward in the pictures. Claudine was so kind and good at giving directions that it made the photoshoot fun and easy! I felt so comfortable around her and it made me more relaxed.
- What was most important for you to get out of your shoot?
The most important thing for me to get out of my shoot was to have photos that I truly loved. I am usually really picky about my pictures and focus in on every little detail. After getting the photos back I instantly fell in love! The photos turned out perfect!!
- Tell me about your style! What inspired your outfit selections?
While shopping for outfits, I looked for clothing that I truly loved for myself. I liked the idea of having a monotoned outfit, a casual outfit, and a all matching outfit. I like the idea of always looking cute and maybe slightly overdressed for casual events which made this shoot the perfect opportunity to dress up a little more. My favorite outfit was white flown dress pants paired with an off white one shoulder top!
- What was your all time favorite photo?
My favorite photo was the one where I was laying down in the flower planter in front of the bank. I loved the way it made me look more mature and and I felt so confident when taking it, even though it was a little out of my comfort zone.
- Do you have any tips or advice for other seniors for their Senior Portrait Session?
My advice would be don't be afraid to be out of your comfort zone when it comes to posing. Even if it feels a little awkward or you think it’ll look weird, trust in the process because the photos will turn out so much better than you think!
- Would your parent like to add any comments about your session day? Claudine was very professional and knows her stuff! She made it fun!
- What drew you to Claudine Kosier Photography?
We found Claudine Kosier Photography through a friend of ours. I really liked her because it felt so professional, which is something I wasn't used to. I loved to idea of having a hair and makeup artist and after looking through her previous shoots I feel in love!
